Community Action Council is a private, non-profit 501c(3) multi-purpose agency that focuses on meeting the needs of low-income individuals and families through a variety of programs designed to help them become independent and more self-sufficient. They have been providing essential human services in Lewis, Mason and Thurston Counties since 1966.

Family Resource Services is here to help any Thurston County family with children needing special assistance navigating local resources. Whether it’s financial assistance to pay the rent or mortgage, food, clothing, healthcare, utility assistance, child care, crisis intervention, holiday gifts, advocacy, case management, transportation, counseling, application assistance, or that hard to find resource you just can’t seem to find.
Sidewalk Homeless Intake Center

SideWalk, is run by well-trained (50+ hours) volunteers, serving in teams of three, to serve as advocates for single men and women. They seek to provide emergency, as well as longer term solutions, hoping that the Center can be a one-stop, one call solution to persons in need.
