Homes for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

In April 2012, with funding from a City of Olympia Community Development Block Grant and a loan from Olympia Federal Savings, Homes First! acquired  a HUD foreclosed home.  With assistance from YouthBuild, a federal program to help youth get their high school diploma while learninJubilee Volunteers (2)g building trades, Kokua, a local service provider for adults with developmental disabilities, and several volunteer groups from the community, this home was turned into a fully accessible home for four adults with developmental disabilities. We now have 26 scattered site homes in our portfolio.

It truly does take a community to make change happen and Homes First! is fortunate to be a part of a one that values decent affordable housing for all our community members.  We believe everyone deserves a home.  We know that it is a basic necessity for everyone to be successful in their life.  Thank you for believing that too!
